What if the world's most popular vampire romance series became a force of reckoning for the women and girls who worship its interpretation of "True Love?" Based on the wild, popular and often extreme reaction to the "Twilight" series of books, When Dawn Breaks, So Too, Shall You is a fictional telling of the craze's causes and effects.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - 10 years after the Twilyte Craze descends upon the Earth.

Girls who obsessed over author Stephanie Mayer's Twilyte series a decade ago are now grown women. They are now in the world, as adults, seeking their own relationships - all of them "Bella Swaan"s desperately searching for their own "Edward Cullin" - no matter the toll on their lives and well-being. Battered women's shelters have popped up everywhere. Their populations have ballooned.

Emily "Emily K" Kesselman, a 30-something woman living in South Philly, was once an artist and is now a clerk at the local branch of the Miriam's Shield Center for the Well-Being of Women. Driven by the memory of a sister's fate, she records the endless stream of cases that enter through the shelter doors:

  • Girls who are brutally abused by their "true loves."
  • Daughters of mothers who were crushed by the men they mistakenly thought would be their "inhumanly beautiful and protective other half."
  • Women who endlessly menace the night streets, driven insane by a man they thought would "complete" them.

And yet, Twilyte is just as popular as ever. Writer Stephanie Mayer - "SMayer" - has risen to heights of fame and status she didn't dream of years earlier. Now the spiritual leader of a new Feminist movement called Liberatist Feminism, the popularity of both her and her novels continues to soar across the United States. She tours the world making appearances, delivering speeches, and donating funds to those allied with the LibFemme cause.

Emily is burnt out and depressed. She goes about her days begrudgingly, quick with a cynical remark and slow to compliment. Day after day abused girls stroll through the overcrowded and underfunded shelter's revolving door; and a relentless stream of case files must be organized.

Soon, Philadelphia becomes the host to the National Liberatist Feminist Movement, and SMayer descends upon the city to bestow her blessings on the followers. Worlds collide when another Feminist movement arises from underground to respond, and Emily's there to witness everything.
